So over the weekend we had some really interesting developments regarding rules/model releases. The black library tease from last week was finally revealed, and what many believed would be a Daemons supplement turned out to be a character rules release. Bel'akor to be specific.
Needless to say he is pretty impressive and has some great rules to counteract some of the more common nuisances of Daemons with multiple wounds. Released as a dataslate rather than a full supplement, you can buy it for around 3.99 or 4.99 for your kindle/ipad i believe. Not too shabby for a character with some great new rules to add to you Chaos Daemon/Chaos Marine army. The new implementation of rule releases like this that GW is now doing is something that could take us in a very interesting direction.
Black Library has said they intend to make several of these types of releases over the next 25 days, which could lead to some really interesting items appearing once again. A teaser has already been set up regarding the next release, which can be seen at the GW website. Also Faeit212 has a little breakdown of the images contained in said video. Pretty sure this next release is going to be Cypher, who has been missed by many for a few editions now.
I look forward to seeing what else is released in the coming days, but needless to say, this new approach could very well be the way we see entirely new things added to existing books to keep/add balance to them in the future. Going to be an exciting December. :)
