Hey guys, sorry i havent posted much since last week. not much news to report as of late other than a bit of mixed opinions on whether or not Tyranids would actually be coming in December as had previously been mentioned by multiple sources. Well, today we get some nice news from GW in the release of a somewhat cryptic teaser video which can be seen here: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/wnt/blog.jsp?pid=12000002. The video shows a lot of fortifications and a few super heavies, which has most of the community assuming that this is likely finally the release of the recently mentioned Escalation and/or Stronghold Assault 40k expansions.
Hopefully this release will also include some new super heavy models for some of the other races in the 40k universe. Most have at least one thing on Forge World that serves this capacity, so I hope that Games Workshop will find a way to make them a bit more accessible for more players in the form of some newer plastic kits or something. For those who want to potentially start whining about the inclusion of Lords of War slot in the regular FoC from here on, please remember, that before the recent existence of Apocalypse as an expansion game, the practice of using super heavies in regular games was normal as long as the person was ok with it. Its not some unprecedented adoption of new rules or something so try not to make a big deal of it. One super heavy can be dealt with, even in older editions of 40k, so its not some impossible thing to overcome - if anything it can make the win all the more sweeter for you.
Definitely excited to see what will come with this release though :)
