Didn't post about this straight away but the latest Forge World News letter i got had some really exciting stuff coming down the pipelines. Sevatar, The Prince of Crows, shown above, is but one of the awesome things lately to come from the amazing designers at Forge World. Below is some pictures of some other really exciting stuff to come. Stormhammer superheavy tank anyone? :)
The Stormhammer Super-heavy tank is finally coming soon. I have been waiting to see what this tank would look like when it finally showed up from Forge World. I first read about this thing in the Horus Heresy novel; Vengeful Spirit and thought it sounded really awesome. Turns out it is just as cool as i imagined. Literally bristling with guns, this behemoth can lay down some serious firepower, both against infantry and armor units alike. At first glance it appears to be armed with 6 multilaser sponsons, a hull mounted lascannon, Battle Cannon turret with another coaxial mounted multilaser, and finally the twin linked main gun, which appears to be another battle cannon, but a Ryza pattern version, although there is a chance this could be a different weapon of some sort. Either way it looks extremely intimidating.
Next up that I really liked the look of is the Mhara Gal Dreadnought. Clearly Word Bearer in origin, this thing is a perfect embodiment of what makes that Legion so wicked. Completely twisted by the powers of the warp beyond recognition, this was once a noble hero of the Space Marines, now lost to the ferocious Daemon possessing the machine and soul within, this looks to be a fearsome enemy on the tabletop. With a little conversion this can probably be made to fit into several of the other legion armies of 40k armies of Chaos players too. definitely worth a look for those who want a really scarey looking veteran dreadnought.
Lat but not least on the list of stuff i liked from the email is Captain Alexis Polux of the Imperial Fists. I was beginning to think we may not end up seeing him as a model due to some of the things in the novels that i have read, but I'm glad that he has been done. Really nice model, and while being slightly less "ornate" compared to some of the other characters we see from the Horus Heresy team of Forgeworld, he nonetheless fits very well the style of the Imperial Fists. For anyone interested there is also a very nice command set - released at the same time as Sevatar on Forgeworlds site - for Imperial Fists. While this set is mainly for 30k games it quite easily works for 40k armies too and would look perfect in any Imperial Fists - or successors - army. What do you think? What are you most excited to see coming soon? let us know below :)
