Today saw the release of two new Knight-Titan based kits from Forge World. Armed with a large energized power blade, and what looks to be a twin linked avenger bolt cannon type of weapon, the Knight-Castigator looks sure to make the vast hordes arrayed against the Imperium little more than splattered chunks across the battlefield. For more pictures of this awesome model, check out this link; http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/CERASTUS_KNIGHT_CASTIGATOR.html. More news and pictures follow below.

The Eternal Crusade is upon us!
By now, most of you have likely heard of the PvP centric 40k MMO that is currently in development at Behavior interactive, and if not, you have now. This is some basic news and a rundown of current information that has been conveyed to the community so far. (Its not a fully comprehensive list, but these are some of the things that caught my attention and that make me excited for this game to be released.) Check out their link here if you haven't yet and sign up for the Arkhona Vanguard to gain early access to the first modules of the game before launch and be a Founder. [If you do sign up, please use my reference code - EC-YKCUK00EJ6B15 - if possible as it helps me gain a better reputation on the community and rank up my characters a bit :)] The first module of the game for Founders access is scheduled to be released in January, although the Dev team have also said that they are working to have it ready for us much earlier than that. Here is a link to the games website - https://www.eternalcrusade.com/. Info on the game follows below.

Primarch Vulkan up for Pre-order
Hey guys, I know I am a bit late to the party with this bit of news, but I couldn't very well call myself a huge Salamanders fan if I didn't at least dedicate an article and some time to talking about how awesome this model release from Forge World is. Easily my most anticipated Primarch release for obvious reasons, I am super excited to finally be able to get him for my army. :) Links to more pics and info below.

Nagash Model Sighted
Greeting everyone. Its been a bit longer than i would have liked since my last post, but I was on vacation for 2 weeks and didn't have access to reliable internet. It was a nice time away but its also nice to be back :) So main piece of news today is the reveal via the web, of the new Nagash model, and boy does he look scarey (as he rightly should). Links and more news below :)

Iron Hands Gorgons Available Now!
Newly announced today on Forge World's website, the Iron Hands Gorgon Terminators have arrived and are now available for pre-orders. These are a must have for any Iron Hands fans out there and are some really nice models. Yer another great release by Forge World. Here's a link to more info and more pictures: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/IRON_HANDS_LEGION_GORGON_TERMINATORS.html. More thoughts on the Gorgons below.

Salamanders Firedrakes Available Now!
The Firedakes of the Salamanders Legion have finally arrived on Forge World's website for pre-order. I remember seeing these as sneak peek WIP models from some pictures of the older Forge World Gamesday displays that were recently covered by most other sites. The Firedrakes are a powerful and implacable foe to face on the battlefield, and they definitely nailed that feeling in the looks of these models. Here's a link for more info on this awesome unit: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/SALAMANDERS_LEGION_FIREDRAKES.html. More Pictures and thoughts below.

Eternal Crusade Founders Packs Available Now!
Hey guys, I'm a little bit late to the party on this news as Natfka has already covered it in far greater detail, but just in case anyone has missed it, Behavior - the company currently developing the new 40k MMO: Eternal Crusade - have updated the website and are now offering founders pack programs. This stuff should not be thought of as crowd funding as the game is already taken care of, but is instead to cover extra cool bits of gear, along with some stuff like character name reservations and Guild reservations, not to forget early access to the first basic modules of the game. :) Here's a link to the game site - https://www.eternalcrusade.com/ More info below.

Painting Services (The Reactor Core)
So a while back, when the new Chaos Space Marine codex was released, i started myself an army of World Eaters, which I have always wanted to play but never did get around to buying. I bought myself 4 boxes of Khorne Berzerkers, 2 Rhinos, Kharn the Betrayer, a Maulerfiend, and a box of Dark Vengeance. After having built everything, and playing a game, I realized that I would really love the whole thing to be painted when it descends upon my enemy on the tabletop. But how could i get it done? I have a huge army of Salamanders that are my primary focus and red is also not my strongest color to paint with well. So what should I do? Well, turns out I had a few options with this that I tried out and both yielded some good results.
Forge World's Explosive releases ahead.
So many people have likely already seen or heard about alot of the new stuff coming from Forge World from their recent events. There are many many more than i can fit into one article, but here are a few new ones that really caught my attention - The new House Cerastus Knight-Lancer being one - and then also this image (above) was teased of yet another Knight to be released. (I called extra Knight variants being released a long while back when the Knights were first released. Really happy i was right on that as they look great) There was also a few other things that some of you may have missed. Check them out below. :)
Rumors of my demise have been greatly Exaggerated....
Hey everyone, its been quite a long time since i managed to post anything new and for this i apologize to all of those who have followed the blog for all this time. I have been extremely busy of late, with increasing amounts of work and just having less time to write articles in general and keep up with the near constant stream of news lately. But I am back and I will make sure that i post at least a few articles each week no matter what. (I am hoping that i will have time for more than that but with work I just cant make any promises yet)
But anyways, I will make sure more articles and news keep coming your way. Much has changed since last I posted, Including the release of 7th Ed (6.5) of 40k, bringing a few changes and some much needed streamlining of what had become an extremely messy and bloated set of rules, and adding an entirely new Psychic phase to the game. On top of all of that, the release schedules have been changed and we now have a constant flow of new releases every week, some of which have been really really good :) (Particularly liked all of the new Ork models i have seen so far across the net)
Anyways i will get on to actually posting some new things that some may not have saw yet. :) I hope everyone is doing well and thanks for keeping up with the blog. I will not disappoint with lack of articles again i promise :)

New GW Site Has Arrived
After much talk and a lot of theorizing by the hobby community, the veil has finally been lifted on Games Workshops new website. Check out the link here to have a look for yourself; http://www.games-workshop.com Its a very clean looking style they have gone for. I have not had much time yet to play around with the new site yet, but i definitely like what they have done with it so far.

Salamanders Pyroclasts
At long last, one of my most anticipated Horus Heresy units has been unveiled by Forge World. The Salamanders Pyroclasts are finally unleashed! Covered in details like drake scales and symbols of fire, the Pyroclasts embody their wrathful heritage and really fit the description you would expect. Really liking how this unit turned out overall. This is the first major Legion specific unit for the Salamanders in the Horus Heresy game so far, and i think they did a great job with them. More details below.

Even More Forge World Releases
Hey guys, just a bit of quick news this morning. Hot on the heels on the release of The Warmaster Horus, we now have an Iron hands Legion Iron Father, and some bits for making a Night Lords Terror Squad. Both releases are nice; the details on the Night Lords adding that really fear inducing visage that they go for, while the Iron Father looks as tough and implacable as one would expect. For more pictures on these new models, head on over to the links below to get a better look. :)

More Armies on Parade Stuff!
Hey all!
Progress on my Armies on Parade Tau army.
Here is another commander, one with the support-signature systems, Iridium Armor, a Shield Generator, and Vectored Thrusters.
Still a bit more that needs to be done (specifically cleanup and gap-closings) but I'm pretty pleased with him. Might tilt the head down a bit more, but I'm gonna wait and see.
The next is a broadside!
This will probably be the only one of these I do for the time being, though I do have some missile-broadside ideas in mind (and worse comes worse, two more metal railguns).
More soon when I start painting!

New Legion Superheavy sighted!
Hey guys, I apologize for the long layoff, I have yet again been super swamped with work lately, but today i managed to find some interesting news regarding a new Forge World Superheavy in the works. The latest blog shows a teaser image of the model being worked on, likely before going to molding, and it looks like this could be an interesting one. Better pics and a few ideas below.....

Things I've Been Working On!
Sorry for the long absence, work has been killer! That said, I have been able to get some killer hobbying done!
I've mostly been working on my Armies on Parade board which got off to an interesting start! For starters, my local GW had a contest for a single miniature that I got in on last minute, though it was convenient that I had been working on a Tau Commander that suited the requirements just fine, so....guess I am doing Tau for AoP!
Anywhoo, here is the commander, along with the coming Shas'vre that will be accompanying him (or maybe another Shas'o, haven't decided).
This was my first time at the OSL, and though I am pleased with much of it, I am not done just yet with some more finishing touches that need to be completed.
The following two images are very much based on the work of Resv from Advanced Tau Tactica Online, with some personalizations.
More soon!

40k Storm of Vengeance Beta Now Up
Not sure how many people had heard of this game recently, but there was some small mentions of it across the net a while back. The Warhammer 40,000 based game; Storm of Vengeance is now available on Steam for Beta access for a mere $9.99. Check out the link here for a video and more info on the newly released game. http://store.steampowered.com/app/254650/ From what i know, the game is a bit hard to describe as a genre, but is described as a lane based game with more in common with a game like Plants VS Zombies, but looks like it may be an interesting one to play.

New Forge World Mechanicum release.
Some exciting new stuff out of Forge World today with the release of Mechanicus Myrmidon Destructors. These guys are really cool and i think that this Army may actually be the best thing to come from the Horus Heresy in the long run, as it is not general Space Marine stuff like we are used to. These guys fit a dual purpose, in that it could be Dark Mechanicum or regular loyalist in 30k, but now, potentially in the near future, we may get a 40k rules set for these mysterious priests of Mars. Many people have wanted legit Mechanicum stuff for quite a long time now, and its really nice to finally see some of these units realized as models....

New Dread Claw Drop Pod sighted. (and more)
Hey guys, a quick bit of new from Forge World this morning. A newly designed Dread Claw Drop Pod is now available for preorder on the Forge World Website. This is more to the scale of the old design, and is not as large as the Kharybdis Assault Claw that was recently released, but it is still nonetheless slightly larger than a standard drop pod. I have a feeling that a lot of people will probably pick up this as many players lamented the loss of the last model Forge World carried for this. Some more pictures of this can be seen on the FW website below

Kharn The Bloody up for Preorder
Hey guys, this isn't exactly breaking but i felt the need to post, as its a really nice release to finally have. So the team at Forge World have finally released the Horus Heresy vision of Kharn. This has been an eagerly awaited release for both 30k and 40k players alike, as the current model of Kharn is - despite still being a good model - getting a bit long in the tooth. A better look at this release can be seen below.

Legion Medusa and Commanders Released
Some quick news of the day. Forge World has now released 3 new Horus Heresy kits for sale on their website. These are the Legion Medusa, and MkII and MkIII command models. Here's a link to take a look for yourself http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff. I've posted some pictures below of the new stuff that's available. The Horus Heresy is definitely starting to take priority for me over regular 40k. How about you? :)

Dwarves Teaser Video
Hey guys. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I was enjoying a few days of last Thursday and Friday which is why there wasn't any new posts. Over the weekend I made the decision to start a Dwarves fantasy army. Now that I think about it I'm not sure why i didn't give them much thought before as they kind of reflect a lot of the aspects I like for a fantasy army, but oh well, better late than never. (I haven't yet given up hope on Brettonia yet either). Anyways, onto a small piece of news, over on the GW website they now have the teaser video up for the upcoming Dwarves release. Heres a link to it if you haven't yet seen it :) http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/wnt/blog.jsp?pid=13000002

Why You Should Play Lord of The Rings
With all the recent grumblings surrounding game balance issues with both 40k and Warhammer Fantasy, I thought it useful to perhaps share a nice alternative gaming idea with You. The Hobbit - formerly known as the Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game - is a nice, and relatively inexpensive entry point into Games Workshops games systems, and is at this point also probably one of the more balanced games left. Here's a few points to think about if you haven't gave it much thought before...

GW: Has the Time of Ending finally arrived?
Over the weekend, some interesting news regarding GW financials surfaced. Their stock took a huge 25% hit and their sales are down, along with profits. This has been a somewhat polarizing subject for many, with some saying its the beginning of the end for Games Workshop, while others think it will barely put a dent in them in the grand scheme of things. Here's my thoughts on this.

Land Raider Achilles Alpha Released
Hey guys. A little bit of news from Forge World today as they have now released the Heresy-era pattern of the Land Raider Achilles for sale. More pictures can be seen at the link here; http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/ACHILLES-ALPHA_PATTERN_LAND_RAIDER.html This one may not be to everyone's tastes as not all I've talked to really liked the MkII pattern Land Raider, but I think it still looks pretty awesome.

Raising an Eisenkern army
For those following the releases of Dreamforge games, I recently picked up a few boxes and did a little article about them. This is going to be one of my many projects moving forward, and i figured id show my progress on them so far. I picked up 2 20-man boxes and an infantry accessory pack to start out with, but plan to add much more once its released. Here's a little look at what i have so far and how the models look. :)
Thoughts on Tyranids
Hey guys, so with the recent release of Tyranids there's been a lot of mixed opinions on it so far. Some people seem to downright hate it while others are feeling disappointed on a lot of it. In some ways i understand this; no one wants to get a bad codex or feel like its somehow less because models/characters were given the axe. Here's my thoughts on the new book so far, and also on those who lament previous iterations of rules/codices.

A New Game in the making.
So after looking around for some conversion ideas for 40k related things, i ran into this. Eisenkern models from a company called Dream-forge Games. For those who are maybe not familiar with them, they ran two very successful kickstarters a while back. You can check out their stuff at this link - http://dreamforge-games.com/ By now most people have at least seen the Stormtroopers converted as Imperial Guard units, or the Leviathans; sometimes proxied by some as Knight class Titans for apocalypse when datasheets were around in 40k. Anyways, turns out, there is a reason for this line of models being around, along with many more in the works. Its called Iron Core.

Tidings from the Warp
Hey guys, sorry for the long delay lately. Since just prior to Christmas last year its been super busy for me most days and it was difficult to find much time to post. This should all be over next week though as the deadline my taskmasters at work have been whipping us over will be done and finished then and i will be back to posting more every day as before :) Obviously there has been a lot of news coming about the Tyranid release, and some grumbling over the actual rules that will be released. All this stuff has been covered plenty lately so i wont rehash it all. Natfka has had great coverage on all things Nids for months now and has all the information for those looking for it at: http://natfka.blogspot.com/ Some news that hasnt been covered so much as of now is the release of some new Horus Heresy stuff that is coming. More details on that are below :)
