Some quick news of the day. Forge World has now released 3 new Horus Heresy kits for sale on their website. These are the Legion Medusa, and MkII and MkIII command models. Here's a link to take a look for yourself http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff. I've posted some pictures below of the new stuff that's available. The Horus Heresy is definitely starting to take priority for me over regular 40k. How about you? :)
Fun articles for tabletop wargamers across the world, from thoughtful articles on rules and rumours, to fun projects like army collections, conversions and painting techniques. Primarily a Warhammer 40,000 blog, but often ranging across other games such as Warhammer Fantasy, BFG, etc. Theres something here for everyone.

Dwarves Teaser Video
Hey guys. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I was enjoying a few days of last Thursday and Friday which is why there wasn't any new posts. Over the weekend I made the decision to start a Dwarves fantasy army. Now that I think about it I'm not sure why i didn't give them much thought before as they kind of reflect a lot of the aspects I like for a fantasy army, but oh well, better late than never. (I haven't yet given up hope on Brettonia yet either). Anyways, onto a small piece of news, over on the GW website they now have the teaser video up for the upcoming Dwarves release. Heres a link to it if you haven't yet seen it :) http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/wnt/blog.jsp?pid=13000002

Why You Should Play Lord of The Rings
With all the recent grumblings surrounding game balance issues with both 40k and Warhammer Fantasy, I thought it useful to perhaps share a nice alternative gaming idea with You. The Hobbit - formerly known as the Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game - is a nice, and relatively inexpensive entry point into Games Workshops games systems, and is at this point also probably one of the more balanced games left. Here's a few points to think about if you haven't gave it much thought before...

GW: Has the Time of Ending finally arrived?
Over the weekend, some interesting news regarding GW financials surfaced. Their stock took a huge 25% hit and their sales are down, along with profits. This has been a somewhat polarizing subject for many, with some saying its the beginning of the end for Games Workshop, while others think it will barely put a dent in them in the grand scheme of things. Here's my thoughts on this.

Land Raider Achilles Alpha Released
Hey guys. A little bit of news from Forge World today as they have now released the Heresy-era pattern of the Land Raider Achilles for sale. More pictures can be seen at the link here; http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/ACHILLES-ALPHA_PATTERN_LAND_RAIDER.html This one may not be to everyone's tastes as not all I've talked to really liked the MkII pattern Land Raider, but I think it still looks pretty awesome.

Raising an Eisenkern army
For those following the releases of Dreamforge games, I recently picked up a few boxes and did a little article about them. This is going to be one of my many projects moving forward, and i figured id show my progress on them so far. I picked up 2 20-man boxes and an infantry accessory pack to start out with, but plan to add much more once its released. Here's a little look at what i have so far and how the models look. :)
Thoughts on Tyranids
Hey guys, so with the recent release of Tyranids there's been a lot of mixed opinions on it so far. Some people seem to downright hate it while others are feeling disappointed on a lot of it. In some ways i understand this; no one wants to get a bad codex or feel like its somehow less because models/characters were given the axe. Here's my thoughts on the new book so far, and also on those who lament previous iterations of rules/codices.

A New Game in the making.
So after looking around for some conversion ideas for 40k related things, i ran into this. Eisenkern models from a company called Dream-forge Games. For those who are maybe not familiar with them, they ran two very successful kickstarters a while back. You can check out their stuff at this link - http://dreamforge-games.com/ By now most people have at least seen the Stormtroopers converted as Imperial Guard units, or the Leviathans; sometimes proxied by some as Knight class Titans for apocalypse when datasheets were around in 40k. Anyways, turns out, there is a reason for this line of models being around, along with many more in the works. Its called Iron Core.

Tidings from the Warp
Hey guys, sorry for the long delay lately. Since just prior to Christmas last year its been super busy for me most days and it was difficult to find much time to post. This should all be over next week though as the deadline my taskmasters at work have been whipping us over will be done and finished then and i will be back to posting more every day as before :) Obviously there has been a lot of news coming about the Tyranid release, and some grumbling over the actual rules that will be released. All this stuff has been covered plenty lately so i wont rehash it all. Natfka has had great coverage on all things Nids for months now and has all the information for those looking for it at: http://natfka.blogspot.com/ Some news that hasnt been covered so much as of now is the release of some new Horus Heresy stuff that is coming. More details on that are below :)
